Reindeer cupcakes
The best item made this holiday season had to be the reindeer cupcakes. My daughter found these on You tube and decided she wanted to make them for her class for their Christmas party. I am not going to lie, there was some fighting that took place during production of these babies. I wanted to help with the dipping of the marshmallows to ensure full coverage. My daughter would have no part of it. She wanted to do it all and do it by herself!! So, you can imagine how proud I was with the finished product. They turned out amazing! All 30 of them!! And she did it all on her own!! She is the best!!
Baking traditions
Every year I love to bake tried and true favourites. Whipped shortbread, chocolate chip cookies and macaroons.
I few years ago I was able to add a new traditions to the baking - donuts! I was able to watch my aunt make them and then gave it a shot. I am happy to say they turned out and I have been making them for the past three years. They are everyone's favourite!!
Another thing I had never tried but always wanted to make was peanut brittle. My good friend Dianne said she had a fool proof recipe so thought I would give it a try. You can find it on her blog - Loonies for Lindor. It turned out really well!!

Gingerbread house
Every year we make a gingerbread house. This year was a bit of a struggle. The first house did not turn out. The roof fell off and broke one of the ends of the house. Needless to say it wouldn't stay up after that!! So we went to the store and bought another one-this time it was already put together, it just needed to be decorated!!
From now on we have decide we will go with the pre-built houses! So much easier to work with!!

Christmas P.J's
Christmas ornaments
T-shirts
I love the fact that you can use the Silhouette to personalise t-shirts. I was able to make two this year to give away.
The first was for my sister who is a die hard hockey mom. God bless her!!
The other shirt I made was for my sister-in-law. She is from Russia and received her Canadian citizenship the week before Christmas so I thought this T-shirt would be appropriate for her - Canadian!

Kaiser craft advent calendar
We saw the kit for the Kaiser craft advent calendar at a craft sale this year and just had to have it. I knew it would take some time to put it together but knew once it was done it would be a keepsake that my daughter would enjoy for many years to come. I was so happy with how it turned out and the the boxes are perfect to put some hersey kisses in!
Snowman poop
I saw these all over blogs and loved the idea!! I decided I needed to make some of these. So, sat down and made a set of 12. I had some help from my daughter who was happy to do all the colouring with Copics.
The best part was when it came time to put these in everyone's stocking I was not able to figure out where I put them!! Still have not found them!!! I am pretty sure tic tac's don't go bad so maybe I will find them before next Christmas!!

Zipper pouch
I love November on the Sew Mama Sew blog because they have new gift ideas everyday for the month of November. It is called Handmade Holidays. There was this tutorial for a zipper pouch that I had to try. I loved how they turned out and I will definetely be making more of these!!
I miss sewing!! Think I have to do some more of it!
