Sew Sweetness dot-dot-dash-bag pattern tester

I follow this wonderful sewing blog written by Sara called Sew Sweetness. She posted that we was looking for bag pattern testers and asked if there was anyone interested. Given my obsession with sewing bags I responded right away. I was sent the pattern and started the process. The pattern was really easy to follow. I must say I was a little intimidated in making a purse that had 6 zippers!! But I was surprised at how easy it was and how nicely it all came together.

For the bag I used Pat Bravo Hyperreal Garden - Lush Foliage in Plum for the main fabric and the contrast fabric was Illusion in Cashmere.

Go check out the pattern at Sew Sweetness. Dot-dot-dash-bag.

It was a great experience!!

Sassy Cheryl's challenge

I just started using digi's and found Sassy Cheryl's site. They do a weekly challenge so I figured I would give it a try this week. The theme this week was Pink!

I used the Father's Day bear digi for this challenge.

And here is a close up of the bear:

Isn't he cute!!!

Scrapbook steals - Mid-week mojo

I finished my layout for this weeks challenge on Scrapbook Steals.

This is mid week Mojo #7.

Another ScrapMuch? challenge completed

I love the weekly sketches at ScrapMuch? I was able to complete this weeks Sketch-y Friday challenge today and loved the fact that there is a little sewing on the page!

Here is what I came up with:

Chicks

Yesterday we spent a fun day at my friends house and was able to finish a two page layout! This was from a kit I have had for years so I was even more thrilled to work through my stash!

Card

When I was at Lens Mills I found this stamp with a cupcake and the "You're so sweet" saying and thought it would be perfect for a card.

Here is how it turned out.

Not bad for 99 cents!!
