Two layouts for a challenge

The Scrapbook steals had a blog challenge on Friday so I worked on these two layouts to submit to the challenge.

The first one was for a Keeping it Real challenge. I picked this picture because it showed just how sad the homemade birthday cake turned out. As described by my daughter "Fail". I would have to agree!

The second challenge was to incorporate - Some old (pictures), something new (Echo Park Playground collection) and something blue -paper - into the layout. This was what I created.

The winners will be selected on Wednesday! Fingers crossed!

12 Days of Christmas

I created a one page layout from the 12 Day's of Christmas Collection from My Mind's Eye. I used the Sketch provided by Scrapbook Steals blog for their mid week mojo sketch challenge. This is Amethyst week #1 challenge.

I love My Mind's Eye!!

Tiny Pocket Tank

I finished this tank top last weekend but wasn't able to get a picture of it till today. This was a PDF pattern for the Tiny Pocket Tank top from Grainline Studio. The reason I am not wearing the tank to show you what it looks like was because it is too big. This is exactly why I make prototypes when doing a new pattern. I use fabric that I am not totally in love with. That way if it doesn't turn out I won't be too disappointed. I do love the way this came together and I think it will be really easy to make another one - just in the next size down!

One page layout

As a result of my use purchases in 30 days I have got a lot of stuff I need to get done! I also need to stop buying new stuff!! So, in order to get things done quickly I did a one page layout. I used my brand new Martha Stewart punch and the paper line is Sassafras the "Count Me In" collection.

Here is a close up of the border I made using the Martha Stewart punch.
I love the quality of the Martha Steward punches! Very nice!

Water Balloons

I worked on a two page layout last night. I used the American Crafts "Daydreams" collection. I love the colours in this one. I used a sketch from "Sketches for scrapbooking Volume 6". I love their sketches!

14 Days of Valentine's - Day 14

Happy Valentine's Day!! To end off the 14 days the surprise is a list of the 10 things I love about my daughter:

These were put into a little box:
The cutest one being "You knock my socks off!" because they included a pair of socks with hearts all over them!
I hope everyone has an awesome Valentine's Day!!

14 Days of Valentine's- Day 13

Today's Valentine surprise is one of my daughters favourite things - Hot Tamales! The card reads "You are one Hot Tamale!". Given her temper, at times, I felt this was fitting and it is her favourite candy so I went with it!
